Airplane II: The Sequel

Title: Airplane II: The Sequel
Rating: Four Spotlights

Movie Wrapped Up:
The Mayflower I is taking her maiden voyage, and it's doomed to trouble... it may take the hero of the original Airplane movie, Stryder, to save the day... but he's presumed crazy!

Mad Take:
That was not one of my best summaries, but this was a serious comedy, so the plot's not as important. Compared to the first movie, however, the story was better-done. The comedy was good, though not as good as the first movie. It's like they traded one for the other, though both was good. This movie still wasn't enough for a five-Spotlight, however.
All in all, this was a pretty good movie.

Real Steel

Title: Real Steel
Rating: Four and a Half Spotlights

Movie Wrapped Up:
In the future, tech has gone up, but especially in the boxer's ring. Now robots do the boxing with humans' control.
Charlie is a washed-out boxer. He is in serious money trouble. When he buys his son, Max, for the summer, he gets more than he bargains for. Max fixes up an old sparring robot named Atom from the junkyard, and it turns out that Atom can throw a punch.
While figuring out the relationship with his son, Charlie's going to have to train Atom for the big fights...

Mad Take:
Okay, my summary wasn't the best. But to the actual movie. It was awesome! The story was well-done, the tech was awesome, and the fights were pretty cool. The big point was the ending. It was extremely well-done, earning a half-Spotlight, and I'm still pumped from it. I was cheering Atom on with the others. The story could use a little tweaking, but it was still a very good movie.
This was a very good movie. Get it... it's awesome!!!
...
Yeah, did I say I was pumped up from the ending? Lol...

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Title: Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Rating: Four Spotlights

Movie Wrapped Up:
Once, two spies got married. But neither of them knew that their spouse was a spy. Six or five years later (depending on who you ask), they messed up the others' mission (which was the same mission). Now they are aiming for each others' heads... and their marriage is going to blow anyway!

Mad Take:
Sorry for my lame summary. The story was pretty good overall. The story was only averagely done in the beginning, but it got better. There were only some chuckle moments, so don't take this as a comedy. But the tech element was cool. The action scenes were cool too (though too loud in some places!). I didn't really care for the ending--there was an unanswered question.
Despite all that, this was a pretty good movie overall, but not a fave of mine.

Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across The 2nd Dimension

Title: Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across The 2nd Dimension
Rating: Four and a Half Spotlights

Movie Wrapped Up:
When Agent P's craft sends Phineas and Ferb to Dr. Doffenshmirtz's place. Without knowing that Doc D is evil, the twins help him to make a "Otherdimensionator" (a Dimension Portal). They all end up going through to another Dimension, where a really evil and smart Dr. Doof has taken over, and turned that Dimension's Perry into an evil Platyborg! Then, to saves his friends, Perry reveals his secret-agent identity.
But more trouble's going to follow...

Mad Take:
A very good movie! The story was well-done, could use a little tweaking (very little, but there's some minor glitches), but the movie was a comedy as well, so that drops the needed points for the plot. The action was good, comedy was funny, and good all around.
But I didn't really care for the ending... did they really have to wipe their memories? Aw man! Yeah, they don't have to change the TV series (which is pretty good too!), but I didn't care for it all the same.
Anyway, this is still a very good movie! Get it! It's awesome! Brace yourself for the ending, however... I think it was the worst part of the movie (except for the very last few minutes, but the memory-wiping stinks!).
